The 7th day on water was a completion of another phase of balance and I completely felt no sea sickness at all. Once again no smell of breakfast through my nostrils. The sea was hectic on this particular early morning but was later calm. All the science teams were asked to make a presentations on their projects starting with the first presentation at two o'clock, our presentation was later on that afternoon. We prepared for the presentation and chose mostly visuals and less writing for our presentation. The following are some of the things we mentioned;
. I-TASC Backgroung
. The mobile base Ladomir (Marko Lab)
. R.E.C.E
. I-TASC Alexandra
. Umthombo Womlilo
While I was still talking I heard "3 minutes left..", I knew then I heard to wrap up tings mon!
After the presentation we went and Witnessed the students from the Department of Oceanography University of Cape Town launching their SVP Surface Drifters which gathers data such as temperature at the different latitudes etc..
Time really flies flies on the boat, at first we thought it was slow but now that we are getting closer to our destination it seems flying on high speed.
I had an idea of already breaking down the work which will make things more formal and easier to monitor. The idea is to write what we have to do in details then allocate the relevant people who will assist us and write the relevant letters to each of them mentioning the help we need. After this then I can also be able to draft one letter to the DCO mentioning all the people involved and who will be helping us on this and that. Sometimes as team leader it always hits me that we have a lot of work to do!
Cabin 15 is starting to be popular people come from far across the cabins and bring their computers to be fixed and sorted and we are doing a good job in helping them, people need movies hey we got tons, they need documentries you name it, it feels good to do good cos we will need help down there!
peace and gravy!
